Amsterdam - June 13-16

Well I guess it's not hard to figure out what we were up to while staying in lovely Amsterdam. I did manage to get some culture in though. Did a bike tour and went to the Van Gogh Museum. Then a pubcrawl. The latter may have been more of a social event, but we did see some interesting places at the center of Amsterdam while stumbling from bar to bar :) Good times all around. Sorry Ken, didn't manage to get that picture after. I'm quite disappointed in myself.

Paris -June 11-13

Holy crap! This city has too much to do. In 20/20 hindsight, we should have spent a few more nights in town. Definitely will be heading back at some point. Saw the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower, which pretty much took the whole day. Took a nice night bike tour that pretty much brought us to some major Parisian sites, but no real detail. But we did all we could with the day we had. Unfortunately Kris lost his camera case and heaps of photos with it. Luckily the camera was strapped to his wrist. Hopefully my photos will suffice.

Bordeaux – June 9-11

Quaint little French city. Very picturesque. Checked out a couple of vineyards. Learned a little about wine tasting, but I still don't know what a good wine is supposed to taste like. Apparently it's somewhat subjective. Which means my opinion may be worth something... but probably not. One more note: our fellow wine tasters were able to translate the vineyard owner's French better than the actual translator. Absolute rubbish.

San Sabastian – June 6-9

A wonderful resort town that we managed to visit during the 3 days of the year that they get rain. Needless to say, I didn't really get to work on my tan. But I did get to see the Casa de Terror... time well wasted.

Madrid – June 4-6

Madrid is a city that doesn't really start “bumping” until about 2 am. And that's on a week night. It is also incredibly hard to navigate when you don't speak Spanish. We found this out the hard way. Fortunately we managed to befriend a local, Narda, that made our sight seeing much easier. We also met a fellow east coaster, Toby, who's influence caused us to party a little too much one night. We got the last laugh though, cause when the shots start to fly, we won't be denied. I make Jager Bombs look like a professional sport :)

Stepping into Europe...

We're safe and sound in Leicester. A game of twister has found us, and by the looks of it has conquered us as well. Who knew? haha. Good times all around though. Madrid in two days and we're pumped. Wish us well. Cheers.
